* I have been given this product as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers Network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company. *
When I first received the campaign invite for the Oska Pulse, I didn't think that I would accept it. I had received campaigns for similar devices and I've turned them all down. Mainly because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of wires and electrodes.
As I mentioned in my Fay Farm review, my doctors and I have tried various methods to control my chronic pain. Unfortunately though, a majority of them haven't worked. So, I've started trying anything and everything that I can get my hands on to relieve the constant aches and pain.
Upon doing more research, I saw that the Oska Pulse had lots of great reviews and a 90% customer satisfaction rate. Plus, it didn't require wires or electrodes! In fact, is seemed pretty easy to use, so I immediately signed up to test it out!
If you haven't heard of Oska Wellness before, they are a company dedicated to creating new technology in order to can help aid individuals in a life with less pain. They care about their customers and they hope that their products can help them gain a more active and happier life.

On their website, you can find tons of information on their product, the Oska Pulse; from who can benefit, published research, and success stories.
As I mentioned earlier, the product that I received to review was the Oska Pulse which can be found here.
The description that I received is this:

Review
Before I could actually get my hands on the Oska Pulse, I had to first participate in a conference call with the business development manager, Andrew Cross. Although this is not the norm, I'm was very happy with the results!
During our call, Andrew discussed the history of Oska Wellness as well as the Oska Pulse. I found it fascinating to know that the product was actually named after a Koala that had been orphaned after being caught in a wildfire. I couldn't help but be amazed by the fact that an early model of the Oska Pulse was actually able to help the Koala recover and adjust properly.
Not only did we talk about Oscar the Koala, but we also talked about the science behind the device and how to use it. Andrew demonstrated how every piece works and he even wore the device during the remainder of the conference call. Plus, he shared some amazing success stories about other Oska Pulse users, which made me want it that much more!
When the package first arrived, I was very happy. The Oska Pulse is a pretty pricey item, so it's important that it's packaged nicely. When I first opened up the box, I found a sheet of green bubble wrap protecting the underlying package. Underneath there was a beautiful Oska Pulse box. Inside, I found the Oska Pulse device, a compression wrap, a USB charger, a travel charger, and a user manual. Overall, I really liked their branding throughout their packaging!
As far as customer service goes, Andrew was quick to answer any and all questions that I had. Normally, I only have contact through Julie from the Chronic Illness Bloggers Network, so it was a nice surprise to have contact with Andrew directly. And I'm sure if I had any other questions or issues, they'd both be available and ready to help!
Now, for the actual product. As I mentioned earlier, there aren't any wires or electrodes. The Oska Pulse is 5.25 inches x 3.5 inches x 1.25 inches (13.3cm x 8.9cm x 3.2cm) in size, and weighs 2.12 ounces (60 grams). It comes with a large compression strap with a pocket that holds the Oska Pulse in place. The compression strap is also velcro, so you can position the device on any problem area. Plus, you can also use the Oska Pulse by itself as well.
At first, I was a little scared to use the Oska Pulse. Not because it's a scary product, but because I'm always nervous that I'll break my new (and expensive) toys. That's why, if you noticed, I've got a case on everything! There's one on my phone, my laptop, and my iPad; and honestly, I'd get a case for myself if I could!
Back to the Oska Pulse though. When I first decided to use it, it was because I had been having some severe neck and shoulder pains for a couple of days. I originally planned on leaving it alone, but it got to the point where everything was insanely uncomfortable. I couldn't lay down, watch TV, or even turn my head. So, I cracked out the Oska Pulse and wrapped it onto my body.
I do have to admit though that the wrapping part did not go very smoothly. On the conference call, Andrew made it look effortless, but it didn't go the same way for me. Honestly though, I think my problem was the size of the compression strap. As with all orders, I received the large sized strap, but I think for the location of my pain, the small compression strap would have been best. Of course, I'm sure I'll prefer the large strap for future aches and pains too.
Eventually, I managed to get the Oska Pulse exactly where I wanted it and I sat back and let it work its magic! Originally, I only planned on wearing it for the full 30 minutes that it last for, but I didn't stick to my plan at all. Since Andrew confirmed that it wouldn't do any harm to wear the Oska Pulse for an extended period of time, I continued with more sessions on the same day. I believe I actually wore if for five different sessions on the first day without any problems. And after a couple days, I didn't feel the pain at all!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product! In fact, I already have! My husband has dealt with back pain for about a year now and I've been telling him that he should give the Oska Pulse a shot! So far, I've only seen him use it once, but that's a start!
